Georgia Vine 

Georgia is an occupational therapist working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in Occupational Therapy at the University of Huddersfield.

During her studies she established her award-winning blog ‘Not So Terrible Palsy’, which explored her experiences as a disabled occupational therapy student and explained how she navigated the barriers she faced during her professional training. 

Georgia released her debut book in 2024 titled ‘Occupational Therapy, Disability Activism and Me’ in which she uniquely analyses her life experiences by using her knowledge as both an occupational therapist and disabled activist.

Dr Julie McElroy

Dr Julie McElroy is an accomplished advocate for disability, equality, diversity accessibility, inclusion, and adaptive sports, bringing over two decades of lived experience in sports; recreational activities and leadership to her role on the Glasgow 2026 Organising Committee. With a unique perspective shaped by her personal journey, Julie has dedicated her career to advancing equity and diversity in sports and community engagement.

Her lifelong commitment to promoting diversity, inclusivity, and accessibility has profoundly impacted individuals with disabilities and the broader community. Her journey, characterised by personal triumphs and professional achievements, has broken down barriers and inspired many to envision and work toward a more inclusive society.

Born in Glasgow with cerebral palsy, she has faced and overcome numerous challenges, using her experiences to inspire and empower others. Julie discovered Frame Running four years ago through the Victoria Park City of Glasgow Athletics Club, a sport that transformed her life, improving both her independence and mental well-being after a traumatic accident seven years ago. She has participated in major events, including the 22 miles - Kiltwalk, Great North, Run, Great Scottish Run and the Paisley 10K.

Her greatest achievement came on April 21, 2024, when she became the first female Frame Runner to complete the London Marathon, finishing in 5:59:31. This historic feat, alongside her ongoing advocacy, highlights her resilience and commitment to inclusivity. Julie’s journey is a testament to perseverance, inspiring countless individuals to challenge limitations and embrace their potential.

Piper Revere

Piper Revere

Piper Revere is a hackney based artist who is 18, autistic, profoundly deaf with a creative, honest talent to be truly jealous of.

Her passionate art expresses love, death, dates, break ups, her love for her London with a touch of humour.

“I do it all myself, When I do my art it helps me with my wobbly balance. I like cool guys and just good friends.”

Azeem Amir

Azeem Amir, 25, is a trailblazing blind footballer and entrepreneur from Manchester, UK. Born with a visual impairment, he has transformed challenges into opportunities to inspire others. Representing England internationally, he is working towards success at the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games.

Beyond football, Azeem is a sought-after speaker, delivering talks at events like TEDx, sharing his journey of resilience and inclusion. He founded Learn With ESS (Education, Sport, and Speaking), a nationwide initiative delivering disability awareness workshops to schools, businesses, and sports clubs. These workshops combine education, hands-on sports, and motivational speaking, fostering empathy and lasting change.

With over 24,000 people impacted across various sectors, Azeem is a passionate advocate for inclusivity. As an ambassador for disability awareness, he proves that barriers can be broken with the right mindset and support, encouraging others to achieve their own success.

Cara Jayne

Cara Jayne

My name is Cara Jayne, I am a proud ambassador for Cerebra. I was born with Dyskinetic (more commonly known as Athetoid) Cerebral Palsy, which was diagnosed when I was 3 years old. 

I started my acting career at the young age of 12 when I got the role of Layla in the popular children's television programme 'The Story of Tracy Beaker'. From then on I have been lucky enough to carry on my acting career appearing in programmes such as Casualty, Baker Boys, Biff and Chip amongst others. 

I have, for a long time, been joining the effort to get more disability representation on our screens and across all media platforms. I am passionate about spreading awareness of Cerebral Palsy.

Chloe Tear

Chloe is a blogger, freelance writer, and public speaker. She has been writing a blog for 11 years, documenting her journey from GCSEs to graduating from university. She now continues to create disability-focused content and works as a content designer within the charity sector.

Chloe writes about her personal experiences of disability. She was born with Cerebral Palsy and became visually impaired during her first year of university. In 2020, she was accepted onto the waiting list for a guide dog and eagerly awaits being matched with a fluffy companion. As her sight loss continues to deteriorate, she has recently been registered as severely sight impaired (formerly known as blind).

With a strong interest in disability attitudes and the stereotypes that disabled people face daily, Chloe strives to share what it is like to be a disabled young person navigating education, employment, and life in general.

Alastair Humphreys

Alastair Humphreys

Alastair Humphreys is an adventurer, author and keynote speaker.

As well as expeditions such as cycling round the world, walking across India and rowing the Atlantic, Alastair was named as a National Geographic Adventurer of the Year for his pioneering work on the concept of microadventures, trying to encourage people to get outside, get out of their comfort zone, go somewhere they’ve never been. A microadventure is an adventure that is close to home, cheap, simple, short, and yet very effective.

With an infectious personality, boundless energy, and undeniable charisma, Sade brings life to the screen. As a mixed-race lesbian from South Africa with Italian heritage, now based in the UK, Sade’s diverse background adds depth and authenticity to every project undertaken.

With an online career spanning over three decades, Sade has honed exceptional skills in front of the camera. Whether in a studio or on location, from pre-recorded segments to live television, performing comes naturally. Believing in the power of storytelling, Sade is dedicated to delivering compelling performances - whether embodying a character or simply being themself.

A natural speaker and entertainer, Sade has had the privilege of MCing and hosting a wide range of events, from corporate luncheons, dinners, and award ceremonies to charity, sports, and music events.

Beyond the spotlight, Sade is deeply passionate about mental health awareness and mindfulness. During the COVID-19 pandemic, when much of the world moved online, Sade hosted numerous informative talks aimed at breaking barriers and fostering understanding, particularly within and for the LGBTQ+ community.

Liz Johnson

Panathlon Ambassador Liz Johnson is a triple Paralympic medallist who has been a dedicated supporter of the charity since becoming a patron in 2010. Over the years, she has attended numerous competitions across the country, inspiring the next generation of athletes.  

A 100m breaststroke S6 swimmer, Liz claimed gold at the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games, adding to the silver she won in Athens 2004. She completed her medal hat-trick on home soil at London 2012, securing bronze.  

Liz also had the honour of delivering the Paralympic Oath at the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Games, addressing a stadium of 80,000 spectators and a global TV audience of millions.
